Please make sure that your pets are current on veterinarian-given rabies vaccinations.  There have been 17 confirmed cases of rabies in Kentucky from Jan.1, 2009, through March 30, 2009.  Two of these cases have been dogs.  There have not been any so far in Laurel County, but it is important that we keep pets vaccinated in order to prevent having cases here.  For more information on rabies in Kentucky, you can go to :
